How about we dress their lawyers in suits of armor and let them fight to the death in gladiatorial combat, winner takes all!!! At least it would be more entertaining than all these pointless legal lawsuits that always end in transferring of "shut the hell up" money from side to the other.

If "security-conscious intenet-users" are falling for this, are they really security-conscious? For quite a few years now, Geek Squad's (and any other pc repair company) prime customers are people who fall for these types of scams. This is nothing new, except to the writer of this article.

mmmscience writes "In 2009, a series of small earthquakes shook the region of L'Aquila, Italy. Seismologists investigated the tremors, but concluded that there was no direct indication of a big quake on the horizon. Less than a month later, a magnitude 6.3 earthquake killed more than 300 people. Now, the chief prosecutor of L'Aquila is looking to charge the scientists with gross negligent manslaughter for not predicting the quake."

Exactly right. There are other options that he could have taken through the proper channels to expose wrong doing... If he would have listened to all the security briefings he received, he wouldn't have a one-way ticket to Fort Leavenworth right now. He isn't the only one at fault for this though. This is a prime example of things that can go wrong when security guidelines are not followed. He shouldn't have been allowed to bring in a burned CD into a secure facility. Nor should the computers even have burners installed.
