No one that says âoeI could care lessâ means it literally that way. And even the correct phrasing of âoeI couldnâ(TM)t care lessâ is never technically true as one could always care less about any topic simply by saying nothing at all.

You are assuming that anti-vaxxers will argue in good faith. I'm sure this pause will be "proof" that the vaccine is dangerous, while if it wasn't paused, they'd just say the risks were being swept under the rug. I don't think they're interested in any evidence that suggest that vaccines or vaccination protocols are safe and effective.

Yes, they could be using weasel words where "access" simply means they have physical access (aka possession of the phone) and "data" means just the encrypted data, so saying they "successfully accessed the data" could mean they have exactly the same information from the phone as they did before going to court.

I do see it as surprising, however, that a government agency wants to record my network data when I'm just using a VPN to securely connect to my company's network to get some damn work done. This is yet another case where "if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear" is a horrible rationalization for invasive surveillance.

If so, then the excuse "who cares, it's just metadata" doesn't hold much weight since many people text as much as they talk on their phones now.
