RPMs: 1) Ridiculous dependencies chain packages between themselves and some are not even related. 2) Can't recognized tarballs installation. 3) Difficult to build. 4) Efficient system check. 5) Efficient upgrades. TGZ and COMPILATION: 1) Loads of time to compile (Eg. KDE install) 2) You can choose any dir to install 3) If do above, you have to set LIBDIRS and PATHS environments correctly. 4) Works with just about anything. 5) Takes lots of space when compiling or storing. 6) Hard coletive upgrading. 7) Difficult system check. I just wanted all linux pre-compiled to be just like an .exe that you run and install like in Windows. PS: YOU IDIOT, take note that I said "pre-compiled" and not source above.
