My uncle worked for this company for 30 years, in the field installing these liners. They are required to notify all homes and businesses connected to the section of pipe being installed and let them know: 1) what day they will be working there. 2) Don't flush your toilets, don't run your washing machine, dishwasher, etc. 3) there will be strong chemical odors. Once they are installed the odor goes away. The odor does not come up through your sewer pipes. if there is ANY odor entering your house through the sewer pipes you have bigger issues than the chemical smell of this resin setting. These same chemicals are used in products around you every day.
