Mad Detective

Director Johnny To is back at the festival, this time with a feature co-directed with Ka-Fai Wai. Mad Detective is the story of an insane (not in a good or humourous way) detective with a gift for solving crime.

Not To's best outing. This film lacked some of the solidity of storyline and compassion for the characters that are found in other movies of his. Still it was enjoyable.

Overall: 6.5/10.
