OK, so it wasn't me, but a friend who is an RAF Pilot trashed a Harrier GR7 during a training exercise.
Flying slow and at low level over a wooded area he clips the top of a tree. The sequence of events that follows is not clear, but results in a spectacular top-down view of the $20 million aircraft plowing into the trees as he and his seat accelerate upwards and away.
