Jesus was an ET. He was one of them, a genetically modified embryo implanted into Mary. The Assumption was pretty much your typical alien abduction. These ETs were hoping to set humanity on a different path but it didn't work. The came and picked him up after that period he spent with his disciples after his resurrection. He regenerated during those days he was in the tomb. The ability to heal others as well as himself was one of the things his species could do, And BTW I don't appreciate having my post moderated as troll. I take that as a personal insult and will report that to the folks who run slashdot as unfair moderation. I moderate too but I only use that power to boost good posts that I see. I never do negative moderation.

Not just that but ET is watching this planet and its inhabitants since humans are considered vermin and are not going to be allowed to spread to other worlds and ruin them. Nobody's going to Mars except robots, which are allowed. They even shooed humans off the moon 50 years ago and warned them about going there again. It took 6 missions for the stupid humans to get the message that they are not wanted and need to stay on their own planet or face extermination, like any other vermin that looks like its getting out of control.

My Windows PC died almost exactly a year ago and I never bothered to replace it. My Macbook had already taken over as my main computer many years earlier. I can't say I miss Windows (or as I call it.." Windblows"). The windows PC was really only being used as a server and I easily replaced that with a WD MyCloud NAS.

I still maintain that dark matter is nothing more than the 21st century's equivalent of the luminiferous aether concept of the 19th century. It's quite likely that just as the nature of light was not known back then, the nature of gravity is currently misunderstood. Newton did a great job based on what was known in his time, but his theory of gravity was based on observations on a relatively small scale. For the solar system and planets it works well but it doesn't scale up when dealing with galaxies and larger agglomerations of mass.

There were some small dinosaurs which are now known as birds that survived because they nested underground. Everything above ground was incinerated. The massive fires and loss of all vegetation quickly removed most of the oxygen from the atmosphere. It took time for plants to start growing again and producing oxygen. Only small creatures could survive the low oxygen environment after the impact. Also, consider the extremely limited food supply. There were also small mammals resembling shrews. Those were able to survive as well. All the mammals in today's world evolved from those very tiny ancestors.

I agree! Humans are technically vermin. They are extremely prolific and destructive. No different than locusts. The Earth would be far better off if humans had never existed. A good whack from an asteroid once in a while is part of the natural order and is necessary. As an advanced extraterrestrial observer I would not do a thing to prevent the earth from being struck by an asteroid even if I could easily do so.
