Picture, if you will, a 9lb grey tabby cat, classic tabby style (with the swirlies rather than the stripes), female. Named Lady Aleksandra.
Now picture our little lady ever-so-politely submitting to a blood test and two booster vaccines. Not a whimper, not a squirm, not a single reaction.
Now picture two large technicians with leather gloves trying (and barely succeeding) to restrain our little lady while she's having her pedicure. One tech wasn't enough. He (5'11", ~200lbs) needed backup to hold her still.

The cat ended up clean... but I was as wet as the cat with scratches and puncture wounds all up my arms. I remember, afterward, the cat and I (both still wet) glaring at each other from across the room. 8^>
