I agree. I tried the Developer Preview for about 2 hours and didn't like it. I decided to give the Consumer Preview a shot as well. That's when I decided I probably won't be trying the final release. It also made me decide to spend some more time completing my migration to Linux so some good is gonna come of it at least.

They've been doing stuff like that since forever. There aren't many companies that would do such a thing. That's the main reason I won't be easily persuaded to leave their service.

Don't get me wrong, I agree. the one time MS acts quickly someone asks them to hold. I think MS should not have agreed to it. That's why I said the agreement wasn't a good idea to begin with. The Dutch government should hurry to get new certificates in place, not ask MS to put the patch on hold.

Even on some computers that run Dutch versions of WIndows the patch got installed apparently. MS called it an error. I call it not honoring an agreement. Not that I think this agreement was a good idea to begin with.

A ceremony like this should have been held in the basement in the first place.

What makes you think that didn't happen?

I'm on an 8Mbit connection as that is the fastest I can get around here. There's no data cap or anything, not even a fair use policy (something that has been used a lot here in The Netherlands). I download around 1.2 TB per month. So even on my connection I max out your cap in less than a week. You say it isn't that bad but I would never get a connection with a cap as low as that. Especially if I would have such speeds available.

Wasn't this the reason anyone wanted .xxx?
