Ah yes, like those Sandisk Cruzer devices with the U3 partition that you had to go through several hoops to get the software (Windows only) that would nuke that damn thing and return the drive to a single partition... Those drives were so popular with a group I was with, that I put the removal software in our internal toolkit page. Popular download, especially when a couple weeks later, it was no longer available on the Sandisk website (or got moved somewhere that nobody could figure out how to get to) but the drives were still being widely sold. Perhaps they still are? Haven't checked lately... a bit overpriced.

All I could think of when I saw this headline:

"We've secretly replaced his Slashdot feed with content from The Onion. Let's see if he notices the difference."

Sadly, with the content of late, I almost *can't* tell the difference...

Hmm... I've seen at least one worn at a convention with no numbers printed. Also, rather sadly amusing was one I saw with a standard LCD time display below. Geek points forfeited!

As for the comment about not going past 15:mm, I have always wondered (as another did above) why they went with the AM/PM method when just about everyone I know in the field almost invariably uses 24hr time. Just one more LED... ah well, someone will no doubt make one eventually.

Other arrangements of the LEDs rather than straight lines would also be potentially amusing... the six bits of each of the minutes/seconds arranged in the standard 1-12 positions around the face, and the hours in the center? Would add to the "It looks like a normal watch.. but WTF?" impact.

Well... there goes another 7.5 million years...
