This is big lesson for us too that we can't always depend our backup on shared hosting provider. Start from now, I will periodically backup my files. Although my hosting provider also keep backup each month and do daily backup. I have no problem using my hosting provider now and if you're looking to move, you can try them. I use asphostportal.com.
