But isn't that generosity the point? Trump offered a German company a ton of money to make the vaccine America-only (https://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2020/03/16/coronavirus-vaccine-trump-offers-1b-to-german-firm/), but Ma is offering to help multiple countries. There was a time when the Federal government would have behaved that way, and not waited for a foreign executive to do it for us.
