I recommend the bad caps forum http://www.badcaps.net/forum/ I had similar intermittent flickering issue, a few $ worth of capacitors and some time to take it apart and it works fine. Poor quality capacitors seem to be a massive cause of TFT failure, when I purchased my monitor it was the top-line from the manufacturer yet still has the cheapest capacitors and was replaced several times during the 3 year warranty (each time with capacitor related issues).
