I'm not saying that this makes up for all the other privacy issues with Windows 11, but the FSF should at least be fair in pointing out that you can opt for an edition of Windows that doesn't require a Microsoft account. It may cost more (you can find legit keys for relatively cheap), but the option is there.
I agree, especially when they are making that a major point in their statement. To be fair I didn't realise it had to Pro version now to have a local account, as I haven't tried Home edition at all. The whole Home/Pro/Enterprise thing has always been a big con, as it's the same operating system, just deliberately crippled in different ways.
