That's true in theory. In reality, it isn't true though.
If it was true, we wouldn't have antivaxx people, Gwenth Paltrow garbage being sold, homeopathic "medicine", etc....
A great book about this is "The Death of Expertise".

Nobody wants to email versions of stale documents anymore. My children are in college and they have basically never used a stand alone office suite. They have been using Google's cloud offering their entire lives.
Your joking, right?
I'm in college now, and no one, exactly no one, from teachers to students would even half jokingly suggest this. In fact, everyone, from teachers to students, are vocally against such a dumb idea. You allow everyone to alter the document, and you'll have people altering/deleting too much because "Oh, I thought it was better this way". You'll just cause a showdown of ego's, with everyone else involved as collateral damage.
There is a low bar to entry. The APIs are all open and well documents.
No they aren't. Google tried this in court and Oracle won. The courts have shown that the API's are not open for usage, and anyone who wants to try this will have to pay Oracle for the privilege. Or re-write almost everything from scratch
From the summery;
Restaurant that makes food, but delivery online, no sitting places.
Dominos and other pizza places have been doing this for decades.
Yeah, but the difference is Apple lies and states this doesn't happen. "What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone."
False advertising isn;t something that should be defended
Stop posting this scam/spam idiot

Issue with this is, Apple claims that this doesn't happen, in fact they claim the exact opposite ("What happens on your iPhone, stays on your iPhone"). Its not as simple as "If you trust whoever is gathering the data", its the fact they are claiming they don't collect it at all, and yet here they are doing it.
As someone who's repaired phones and tablets, as well as replaced batteries... it's not rocket science...
Apples T2 "security " chip says otherwise
Notifications. It doesn't mean they have to get rid of their phone.
As someone who's in college now, this experiment is stupid and not really something I'd recommend.
All of our class notes and study aids are online and easily accessable with the school's app. We've done class study groups with Kahoot (when people got the wrong answer the teacher explains in more detail of why what is right and wrong), and this needs a smartphone app to play. If we are running late, we can text the teacher so at least they know we are coming. I personally use (and highly recommend) a flash card app on my phone for the times that I have a few minutes so I can keep brushing up on my studies when I can't pull up my book or notes.
I'm doing way better in school now with my smartphone then I ever did in HS without a smartphone.
I also made sure to mute my phone so I don't hear notifications and told my friends and family I'm in school so I don't have the option to always get their notices and I ignore the few I get until I have time to relax (later at night). If they have an emergency, they know they can call me twice in a row to override the mute option but thats for emergencies.
It's about learning self control, not going digital hermit
So Jamf, an company that only makes money trying to sell Apple hardware to business, is stating IBM, a company that joined forces with Apple in 2015 and is now pretty much an Apple only company, is stating that Apple is better.
Just stating "They are better", without anything to back it up? I've read the "study" linked, but everything is very vague, and screams advertisement and not real study...
And which it keep mentioning about that their Mac users are more happy, how much of this has to do with IBM is more of a Apple then Windows company? Are they not being given to right tools/mental support to do their jobs with a non-company partner device? Not to mention, more of IBM's tools these days seem to be made for Apple from the ground up.
It mentions that "Windows users need more tech support", but they needed help how? Using apps designed for Apple IBM Cloud infrasture?
Apple users were happy with the third-party support, so they were happy with the company made tools that were designed for Apple first and foremost, while the Windows users were forced to use the wrong/badly designed apps?
"Always mention the good, and never the bad" sums up this entire "study".
It's normally called out as the blant copying that it is...
While it maybe subjective, I've asked quite a few people about issues like this before (and extending into repairs). The answer is typically the same (from young adults at least).
It's either "I don't care they are glued shut" or they see it as a great thing "If they didn't glue them shut, then they would be bigger/heavy/etc...." People bought that marketing crap and told manufacturers they love glued devices, e-waste isn't something people care about. As long as their devices are thin and light, nothing else matters (well, also the logo, can't be fashionable without a trendy brand symbol)
