While not on the same hardware as the x86 pcs, both Symbolics (owned the first .com domain) and Lisp Machines International had IDEs on their custom hardware platform's Lisp machines. The genesis of both of these was from the work that originated at MIT in the early 1980s.

I believe that the importance of grammar in text is proportional to the number of consumers of that text. Poor grammar slows down the reader, so if something is going to be read by many people, it is probably worth the extra time to get the grammar correct as the smooth reading benefit, requiring less time to read and digest, will be multiplied across all the readers and if there are enough readers, this more than compensates for the time required by the author to write a grammatically correct message.

Probably more accurate to say sailboats cannot do this yet. Imagine the sailboat with a propeller doing the same thing as this land based craft but pushing off the water.

I too switched from bouncing between AVG and Avast to now using Microsoft Security Essentials. So far seems to be working fine, although I rarely see viruses and the like in my experience.
