Comment Why Piracy will continue forever (Score 0) 79

It's no surprise piracy is alive and well. IPTV services, torrents... Simply provides what people want. Everything I get via torrents don't have ads. Why pay more and more for streaming services only for them to completely not give a shit about the experience. I dropped netflix due to price increases.. ad tier... my ass. -Pirate for life

Seems like we have one dictator who started bullying the world, and the other is just responding - and the response has so far been quite measured.

We also saw the one who started it deflate and fold already when faced with consequences two days ago.

He'll deflate and fold here as well.

no the hell he didn't. You bout to learn since you don't know.

We have prime for the free shipping. Everything else is dead to me. Pirating is still very alive in 2024. I see a show or movie I like I download it. Often times entire season at once. Stick it on the NAS, load it from Kodi on a Firestick.... works wonderfully. I'm tired of all these services squeezing another dollar out of me. Fuck em.

Comment Re:Once again I'd like to thank Netflix (Score 1) 100

Well, Netflix was able to grow largely year over year and not enforce anything. They really are at fault for making everyone accustomed to this. Why ignore it for years and years and through growth over more growth and increased revenue? It obviously was not hurting them and it gave customers more flexibility. Sure it's giving away some revenue but you can argue that many of the people who didn't pay in the first place won't pay now.
