Comment Re:People still buy games at release? (Score 1) 56

delaying a purchase of a game by a few months is absolutely, 100% unthinkable. For them it's like being abused. Seriously, that's how they feel. They "need" to buy the game on release or before, whether they'll hardly ever play it or play it to death and then dump on it.

Well, I seem to be one of that group of people. That is how I see this: 1. The AAA titles are not going to be discounted for quite a long time. 2. Multiplayer games usually get online events/seasons. These seasons are fun at the beginning, and mostly only the first season makes sense and is fun. The rest is usually a weak copy. 3. Anytime later, if you buy an AAA title, the servers might not be full to the extend you want. When I want to play high difficulty content, I usually find not too many experienced players at that time and many missions/raids/etc is just not accessible for me. I'm more a dedicated then a casual player and I know how to carry the group in the games I mastered and I know when I am being carrried, but a lot of content require group roles - one cannot carry the group when many different roles are needed. So, basically, _FOR ME_, to enjoy a multiplayer AAA title and do all the hardcore content, I need to enter the game sooner than later. It doesn't work for single player games though. I would just buy them later when they get cheaper.

Comment They plan apps for consoles for game streaming (Score 1) 33

Basically, we will get an app for each system/console (a steam client) where you can stream the game from their servers. The exact copy of Geforce Now service that people use to play their steam games on virtual RTX PC. The only requirements will be a subscription fee, a good Internet connection, and a game bought/assigned to our steam account.
