Journal Journal: Jury Duty

Day 2

Due in court at 9am. Found the parking lot right off, hopped the bus again. Showed up with 15min to spare, having left an hour early to go 20 miles.

Found the courtroom but we had to sit in the hall. I was one of the lucky ones that got a padded chair. The alternative is pew-like wooden benches.

Day 1 additional

I forgot to add that we all had to fill out a short questionaire asking birthday, race, gender, occupation, and few other general questions. These were given to the attorneys in the cases to which we would be assigned.

Journal Journal: Jury Duty

Day 1
In my summons for 8:00am was a map to free parking and free bus/train, just show my juror's badge to get on. Finally found my way to the free parking area for jurors (two of the three entrances were closed due to construction). Hopped on the bus for a free ride to the new (relatively speaking) courthouse.

There's nothing worse than sticky keys when you try to play.

And use an antibacterial cleaner - if you have one geek with the flu, you could lose your whole base crowd for weeks at a time.

You might invest in a UV antibacterial light to store game controllers. Don't leave them plugged into the games - pass them out when someone wants to play.

And keep the place CLEAN. It'll smell better, look better, and be more comfortable to come back to.
