Though that said, GW did know about the site almost since its release, having already come to an agreement about some copyright issues a few years back.

What it means, is that when someone is abusing their powers (SAS shooting someone who does not have a gun, or border patrol beating someone who did not pose a threat) they are basically a civilian who broke the law and has no valid defense (ie should be convicted automatically of murder/assault/whatever is appropriate).

And there is no need for a beating to be a threat to life or health for it to be a crime.

Except that VHDL and it's ilk is not something you can use on a big system if you want it to work well. Everything will simply be far too inefficient to be able to compete with those who do it by hand. Sure it may work for simple circuits but for anything approaching a complicated system it's useless to use synthesized circuits.

Designing circuits is still primarily a craft, not something automated.

Having too much freedom for the people and too transparent a government is endangering the power of individual politicians as they can more easily be held accountable for their actions. Sucks monkeyballs, but that's what you get when you have people who think of themselves instead of the people they represent in power.

I disagree. The entire point of living is to enjoy it. A short or long life, the only measure of the quality of that life is how much you enjoyed it. Don't know about you, but personally I'd rather live a short, reckless and dangerous life that's immensely funny than slave away at a boring job and live a long, boring life. Who remembers me and what for doesn't interest me in the slightest as I won't be around to care.
