So this is going to make the planet warmer? Wha aerosols should we be using to reflect more light?
But all jokes aside, we should start fining these states, countries, cities, etc. for these pollutions. They need to start taking responsibility for the pollution their lack of care is causing.
But not the third or fourth
Anyone in the space industry know if there is much of a difference in successfully landing something that went up to 271 meters vs to the ISS?
Maybe they are planning on a moon base or more Space Stations. Right now with a lag of 2 - 3 seconds for something like that it may help with experiments. Maybe they are just putting it there to have an option?
I think the concern is how students are using it and how they use it on their homework.
A Ferrari is engineered for performance because that's its design goal—and its customers pay for that. But slapping a 4Ah battery into a phone isn’t engineering brilliance; it’s lazy compensation for not optimizing power draw, thermal management, or user habits. If your solution to every problem is 'double it,' congratulations—you've reinvented overengineering.
Real engineers don’t throw money, weight, and space at a problem. They solve it with precision.
People love to say how the US healthcare system is broken, maybe if Europe paid their fair share US costs would come down, here are some examples: Lantus Germany $61, Canada $67 US $186, Crestor Germany $41, Canada $32 US $86, Gleevec Germany $3003, Canada $2,421 US $10,122.
That's the opposite of proper engineering. The goal of any engineer is to figure out how to do a thing for as cheap as possible. Anyone can build a bridge if you use thick enough logs, the trick is doing it cost effectively.
They are the influencers of pre-tech era I suppose.
What will become the new universal scale of the internet?
Ah ha! Nuke the thing in the sky!!!
I am a bit confused, maybe someone can help me? I remember reading that more clouds = reduced surface temperature, why would contrails increase the temperature?
I like to take walks with my dogs and kids, as it is getting darker earlier and earlier we are noticing it is becoming a big problem off on the side of the road. Often times I will actually walk backwards if an event is ending as the constant stream of super bright lights is to much to walk into.
