No, I think LW's has the right presentiment. IMHO it's the word apocalypse that is scary. It is directly related to religion. Mixing religion with other matters such as programming is, I think, out of place. And, yes, sometimes it is downright scary.
BTW, I am aware of the fact that LW is a member of NLNC.
