Also, there is currently an exception for political calls, among other, and possibly this is necessary to clarify that faked voices don't fall within the exception.

Can we remove this exception? I'm getting non-stop calls and txt msgs from any/all politicians in all 50 states asking me to vote for them. The txt msgs tell me I'm receiving the message because I registered with the candidate to receive them. Like hell I did, I think they "borrowed" the NSA's phone data to populate their "annoy the voters" bots.

How many numbers can my Pixel 6 phone, and/or phone carrier, block? I should be up to a several thousand by now. I tap the "report as spam and block" on all of them.

I still think, that any politician who is pushing for "the people" to be denied access to secure, encrypted, internet communications, should be the first to be banned from being able to use SSL/TLS for things like their online banking, email, etc. Then, lets see how long they keep spewing their nonsense.

Many of the leaders (well, politicians, as they can't really be called leaders as they truly believe "tis for thee, not for me") cannot understand that correlation does not imply causation.

Criminals use encryption, therefore anyone who uses encryption is a criminal.
Criminals use guns, therefor anyone with a gun is a criminal.
A guilty person might be nervous during a traffic stop, therefor anyone nervous during a stop, is guilty.
A person that is not nervous during a traffic stop is hiding their guilt, so anyone not nervous is guilty.

By their own logic...
Criminals live in homes, therefor anyone who lives in a home is a criminal?
Criminals drive cars, therefor anyone who drives a car is a criminal?
Criminals use banks, therefor anyone who uses a bank is a criminal?
Criminals try to influence and control politics, therefor anyone who is a politician is a criminal? Well, I think that one is mostly true anyway.

The taxpayers ("we the people") have ZERO say in hiring of police officers. Besides that, there are so many police officers that make $150K+/yr, that it is sickening. When it comes to "firing the bad apples", that is impossible for the taxpayers, and even the city councils that employ the police departments. The police unions have ultimate say. Even when a city fires bad police, the police union almost always gets the court to order the city to rehire the bad officer.

Well, you know the real criminal wasn't a teen or early 20's. They would have live streamed it. Not sure how that's a thing, but seen too many stories of "young" criminals live streaming their crimes, thinking "this will show the world how cool I am, and there is no way authorities will find this and use it against me".

Cops: "Wait, what? You expect us to conduct a murder investigation? That would be actual work! Ok, well, they are of the wrong skin color so... They have a son, who was not at the scene of the crime, so obviously he fled after committing the crimes. Case closed. Wait, he has an alibi and corroborating evidence? Well, we can't be bothered with that, it would invalidate our investigation, thus making us look incompetent, and make us do real work."
