This is outrageous, how far will the DMCA go before those in charge realize what it's doing to us. How much will it take before soemone decides to put an end to it.

I think that's the problem, they DO realize what its doing to us, hence the progression here. Its dangerous to assume that legislators need to "wake up". We are the ones that need to wake up and find new representation. Every day our legislators are turning more and more good americans into criminals.

Be it drug laws, or anti-circumvention laws, the result is towards the same end: We have the largest percentage of our population in prison than any other country; Most of which is for non-violent and victimless crimes.
