Good thing we have an unofficial state religion that permeates our legislation and many areas of society resulting in a clouding of our judgement. Religious freedom? More like religious "superiority", notice how only one narrow view is being expressed and the other relevant facts are deemed irrelevant?

Just like how the "moral objections" amendment that would have allowed any employer to decline portions of a healthcare to their employees on the basis it conflicts with their personally and allegedly private beliefs... was attempted to be passed in a transportation bill!

I see a lot of comments regarding authors, but this is mostly about publishers and their legal rights. They want to make money on their terms exclusively, it's really nothing new. I actually worked as a contractor on the book search project I was out at the actual library, Stanford has about NINE of them. We always worked against the threat of the project ending or changing prematurely.

Not sure how much this was discussed but I think most people should try the game even if it's only based on the fact that it's skill based and not level based. Just some other posters, I enjoyed skill based progress in MMO's like SWG (pre-cu). I'm not a fan of the engine used in the game at all. Mind you I haven't played much of the beta but my initial impression was that it looks promising. I actually dislike Star Trek but I'm a sucker for space combat. Like every MMO it will have it's launch day bugs and such but I'm definitely curious as to how the devs evolve this game.
