I've currently be rereading my pile of old Clarke novels and "Earthlight" has a pretty sober depiction of how human on human space combat would take place. Much of the tech in the book is quite out of date... but how the space ships moved and vectored around to fire on each other seems fairly in line with how our real spacecraft and satellites maneuver.

... but the tornado season here in Alabama being expanded into January is rather worrisome...

It's the only way to be sure...
