They "compromise on battery life" every time they choose not to improve battery life. thinness is not a usable feature. nobody has ever needed to slide an ipad under a closed door to complete their work. But many people have needed to work a long day. Apple is sacrificing a feature that appeals to basically everyone, longer battery life, to a feature that only appeals to those who care about appearances above all else. Unity is a sinking ship but most game studios are not. They can think about the future, about trust, and switch away from Unity now. I expect Unity to continue to lose users, just a little slower than yesterday.
