Nissan and Mitsu are far from the only ones using CVTs, and CVTs they aren't are reliable or enjoyable to drive as traditional automatics.

And I'm not sure why you single out Mitsubishi. The Outlander is a great car, it handles great, and I say this as an owner of an Evo X as my only car.

The point remains is that all the gadgetry manufacturers are putting into their engines and transmissions, and all the plastic parts and 0 weight oils and "lifetime fluids" mean that your car is much more disposable than any time in history.

And often times, when you do find a manual transmission, it's a crappy toy-like experience, like on the last manual Accord. Then no enthusiast buys it, and manufacturers use that as proof no one wants them any more.

Slight reliability advantage? Entire makes of cars are consigned to the "never buy" pile because of the CVT they use. I loved the Outlander, would never own a CVT one.

It isn't that people simply moved on to other brain rotting social media, like the endless tiktok videos, just like it has happened before with myspace and facebook. It must have to do with everyone holding the same political views as them.

It's easy for you to say when you (presumably) don't suffer from it. But for those that to, that cannot find the root cause but whose lives are literally paused, should they wait for ever? Or should they seek treatment to rejoin the world of the living? To get back to some sort of a baseline from which they can address a root cause?

Your (and mine, frankly) personal distaste for the theater is not really relevant. What I am talking about is simple economics. Regal Battery Park in Manhattan probably cost millions to construct. That's a hell of a lot of ticket stubs to pay for all that union labor and material and permits and monthly taxes. These are taxes and insurance that likely doubled in the past 5 years, not to mention minimum wage laws, cost of snacks, etc. I'd bet they have a razor thin margin on these ticket prices you think are so onerous.

A shot of liquor costs as much as half a 750ml bottle, yet people still go to bars, because they understand thereâ(TM)s more to that drink than just the retail price.

Maybe the real issue is that youâ(TM)re just cheap (or poor) so you arenâ(TM)t really a movie theaterâ(TM)s customer anyway. Why would they bare the costs of running a business, paying employee and benefit taxes, rising insurance rates and property tax, expose themselves to lawsuits every week, just to break even charging you $7 for a movie? But you can have convenience with physical CDs. You just rip them. I don't know how streaming services control their media but I'd assume it isn't as simple as copying their mp3 around.

Happened to me with the Nintendo eShop. I lost my password or otherwise couldn't log in (don't remember) and Nintendo was of literally no help. So that was it, the games I bought there were gone. Go create a new account and buy the games over again, but they closed the eShop not to long after that anyway, so sucks to be you, Mr. Consumer.
