Everyone is talking about the AI bubble. Between inflation and the rate pause decision, the market took a trouncing last week, especially tech.

Microsoft, a huge spender in the space, is reporting blockbuster earnings. That signals to investors that Microsoft, and other companies, might be profitable after all and the bubble won't be bursting.

As such, they all go and try to buy shares before they spike too much, looking to sell them sometime in the future for $800 a share.

Have enough of these people trying to buy these shares and you'll have the share price run away on you.

Has anything changed? I mean, yes. Microsoft is signaling that the tech/AI trade is still on. All the people that exited the market in the past few weeks, all the billions that evaporated, suddenly came back. And the vast majority of other tech companies skyrocketed as a result.

And I'm not sure why you single out Mitsubishi. The Outlander is a great car, it handles great, and I say this as an owner of an Evo X as my only car.

The point remains is that all the gadgetry manufacturers are putting into their engines and transmissions, and all the plastic parts and 0 weight oils and "lifetime fluids" mean that your car is much more disposable than any time in history.

And often times, when you do find a manual transmission, it's a crappy toy-like experience, like on the last manual Accord. Then no enthusiast buys it, and manufacturers use that as proof no one wants them any more.

Slight reliability advantage? Entire makes of cars are consigned to the "never buy" pile because of the CVT they use. I loved the Outlander, would never own a CVT one.

I bet it would be fun to be an owner of one of those, can't sell a non-running car, have to spend the few grand on a new transmission.

Usually it's people you've already vetted to some degree, whose personal information you have, who will still leave a trace of activity, if you log your system activity remotely, etc. That's a very different scenario from randomly exploiting some system from behind 4 public proxies.
