Right, it just speaks to a higher frequency of travel to and from China and more specifically Wuhan. It also appears to have been in Seattle in December as well, anecdotally of course, the perfectly healthy 30-something daughter of a friend living in Seattle went from minor cold symptoms to double pneumonia and her doctor(s) had no clue why at the time (no influenza or anything else obvious that they could test for). She recovered just fine, but it made a lot more sense once they realized two or three months later that her symptoms aligned almost perfectly with COVID-19 symptoms.

Push them too hard and Apple might quit promising to manufacture stuff in the United States. Did Basecamp turn down an acquisition offer from Apple or what?

Is there any effort going into unmanned craft for research, reconnaissance, monitoring, prepatory supplies, etc? Seems odd to commit so much to manned spacecraft without an existing and ongoing unmanned effort to prepare the battlefield (as it were).

Has anyone published "death rate" figures by risk group yet? The last I read, only one death was reported among youths and that was in the 10-18 year old range. No details were provided such as preexisting conditions for that case. No deaths for children under 10 (in contrast to the typical seasonal flu which has killed more children than is typical so far this year). My sense is that the death rate much higher for males 50+ that either smoke heavily and/or have preexisting conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, other respiratory issues, etc.

ATT TV seems to be targeted at current satellite customers with a high-speed Internet connection that simply don't know any better. I expect that ATT TV will start generating significant early termination fee revenue once the price nearly doubles in year two and it's cheaper to switch and pay the ETF.

I don't get why anyone one put up with this either. I've left far better jobs for far less over the years. Every business I frequent seems to have some sort of sign or poster begging people to come work for them starting at 50% or more than the current minimum wage.

Whether legally acceptable means or otherwise, this ad felt like it was enabling exploitation of the elderly. I found it fundamentally creepy in a dystopian PKD future sort of way.
