Comment Any form of 'English' is fine with me... (Score 1) 121

...so our Canadian cousins are free to use whichever they want - and I won't even concern myself with their pronunciation as we have many dialects of English in the motherland! However, if the good, young USofA wants to complain, how about they choose another language. Maybe Trump should consider putting Russian onto the school syllabus as he seems to like the taste of Putin's scrotum.

Comment Meta 'truth' (Score 1) 54

I don't believe a word coming out of any Meta spokesperson's mouth. It'd be more believable had they said that 19% of the Chinese revenue was NOT coming from ads for scams, illegal gambling, pornography and other banned content. But then, it may be better than it was when I last used it...in 2018...and that was simply to log in specifically to delete my account, after I started to receive almost weekly 'reminders' that I "seem to be having trouble logging in" as I hadn't be online for months, and "may have forgotten my password, so here's a PIN to log in again".

Comment Not gauging true opinion, just reinforcing own (Score 1) 68

I got fed up with those asking for opinions on the future of the organisation, service, etc. Then you start reading the questions, and the only answers are the pre-selected options for you to agree/disagree with, and none of them are what I'm hoping the company/service is doing. It's like Netflix asking a loaded question such as "Do you like adverts in your videos?". If you say 'no' they spin this to say "Users don't want adverts so we're putting up the price.". Or they ask, "Do you prefer your adverts before, during or after your show?"...and there's no option for 'FUCK OFF with the adverts'.
