1) You are placing advertisements for Network Solutions on the page.
2) I got pretty far along with ordering "network-solutions-hates-non-whites.com", a name "reserved" by Network Solutions when someone else did a whois search on it.
3) I can't register that domain with another registrar because you're holding it.
So, you hold the domain for 4 days, preventing the original searcher from registering it with another registrar, you advertise your own services if someone makes a web connection to the domain name, and you'll let anyone register it for $35/year (as opposed to $15/year with a registrar like Dotster).
You're not protecting your customers, you're abusing your position as a registrar.
If you really were putting the customer's interests first, and not your own, you'd do the following:
1) Only let the searcher register the domain.
2) Not provide any DNS for the domain during the reservation period.
3) Only reserve the domain for an hour.

Likewise, we're not placing any advertisements on these domains to monetize their traffic while they are in the reservation period.
You're making money when someone registers the domain with you... How is that not monetizing the traffic? If you really were putting the customer's interests first, and not your own, you'd do the following:
