Corporations have a very bad and prolific habit of finding new ways to assert control and advertisements on us, and to obtain information about us and trade and sell it.

They only way to reliably counter this is to firewall every peripheral. Not just the network connections, but the connection between your computer and the monitor or your printer and other devices. Firewall by MAC address, and never let those devices communicate on the Internet, ever. I never register any hardware or software, and I never give out phone number or my real email address (I use an alias), because my personal information is far more valuable than the products or services they offer.

I have some LG devices and for other reasons (they disable ability to turn off Bluetooth)I will never use LG again.

I have an LG TV and will never buy one again, mostly because it has Bluetooth always on and I have no way to disable it. My neighbors are always trying to connect to my TV so I'm constantly bothered by a popup and I have to deny them manually.

In a normal system I would just DISABLE bluetooth.

But France will let you decide to have sex at a younger age. Anybody see what's wrong with that thinking?

In the last few years I have seen help wanted signs in every store in town. Clearly there are job options, they just didn't want to work them.

My observation is that Gen Z has low work ethics. They don't conduct themselves professionally (there are exceptions), and they complain at the customers.

Let me see if I understand this correctly.

AI started replacing simple jobs like Tier 1 helpdesk and Valet parking, etc.
But somehow we have a labor SHORTAGE?

His house is privately owned; cameras are not.
His house is protecting him and his family. Cameras are used AGAINST you and your family most of the time, rarely is it used to protect you.

In Ireland, Solmoli immigrants have started taking people's pets and burning them alive. Very conveniently all the cameras seem to not be able to identify them, but if you obstructed them, the "authorities" would be Johnny-on-the-spot.

The police are supposed to be sheepdogs guarding the flock but in recent years they have been guarding the wolves; cameras are just another tool by which they help to control and manipulate you.

If you want to trust the government on everything, go right ahead, but then you should not be protesting ICE or climate change or Israel or anything else, because you trust the government.

So you still trust the good intentions of government officials? FOOL!

I did not vote for any cameras and even if they were donated, they still expect us to pay for the upkeep and electric. I don't want to live in a nanny police state like China does. Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

I support those that disable or destroy those cameras because government officials NEVER do the right thing, or they would not have put them up in the first place.

They are supposed to be at an age where they are learning the skills required to be productive in the world. How are they going to know how to interact with social media as adults if they can't experience it now?

Despite popular belief, bio-metrics is NOT secure. AI attacks have defeated every single bio-metric security layer. Your password can always be changed if compromised; but your fingerprint, and retina, DNA, etc. can all be converted into a number just like a password; only you can't change your DNA or retina. Once compromised, it's compromised forever. Imagine using your fingerprint with an employers network, then your bank uses your fingerprint. That's the same thing as using an identical password at both locations, only you can't change it once it's compromised.

NEVER use or allow to be used any bio-metrics.

The only security method that has yet to be compromised by AI attack is a hard token with an air gap. That means a mathematically generated number generated on a device that is NOT plugged into a machine, and you have to type in that exact code within a minute of it being generated.

Passwords are still a great way as long as your smart enough not to put it on a sticky note, and use a non guessable alpha-numeric plus (special characters) password.

That said, them testing for "humanness" is a bunch of BS. They want your bio-metric information to trade and cell or to exploit in some other way.

There are some software products that are still true shareware, and when you buy them, the license to use is your's forever for that version. Scooter Software's "Beyond Compare" is once such product. Steve Gibson's "Spinrite" is another. I have supported and purchased their products and many others that follow such linesm and I have even purchased products by sending a money order in the mail, no registration, no personal information.

To the makers of Brave Browser, listen up.

Brave is marketed as a privacy-focused web browser and includes features such as built-in advertisement blocking, protections against browser fingerprinting and a private browsing mode that integrates the Tor anonymity network. Brave also incorporates its own advertising through a rewards system based on cryptocurrency, which allows users to earn Basic Attention Tokens by opting-in to view ads served through its ad network"

You imply (or at least have not reasonable corrected) that your product makes people private and anonymous. But your product is anything but.

To be truely private and secure, one must also be true anonymous. Your product looks to be a cryptocurrency with a browser wrapped around it. A crypto currency requires a unique account identifier. The ledger will create a pattern that can be used to identify a real person. Your product is based on Chromium which is owned by Google, and they are many things but respectful of our privacy is not one of them.

Tor network can keep you safe (to a degree) from criminal organizations, but not from government that created it.

Anytime a product ask for our Name, Phone number, address, etc. You ae using something that can easily be used to positivly identify a person. That is NOT an option.

Unfortunately, almost every browser out there is either proven to be compromised, or is based on Firefox or Chromium, both of which are not as secure as they imply.

Why can't somebody make one where my identity is none of your business. If you want to include advertisements at the top of the browser, fine, do that. But don't ask me to give my phone number for you to text me with the claim it's about security because we all know it's really because you want to trade and sell our phone number and information to others so they can call and spam the crap out of us.

It amazes me, the amount people can’t see what is right in front of them.

This is not about protecting children, it’s about asserting control over the whole population, so they can track and identify you no matter what you do online.

Government ALWAYS abuses power. Fascism is a partnership between government and corporations. If you don’t like Fascism, then stop giving more power to them.

Stop using Microsoft and Apple. Use Linux. And when they constantly try to find more ways to drop you’re access, find a way around it. You can’t be free unless you can also be anonymous.

Never pay ransom.

1. Backup your data in a secure way.
2. Be prepared to re-image any workstation at any time.
3. Don't store data on any cloud service (Cloud means putting your data on somebody else's servers all under their control).
4. Use Virtual machines for servers and be prepared to stand up the server on another box at any time.

If your organization drops the ball on these simple techniques and ends up losing data, then the data shuld be accepted as a loss, a bunch of people should be fired, and everybody remaining will be motivated to not let that happen again.

We have known this for a decade or more. The fact the original post does not know this shows how out of touch they are.

1. Theater is too expensive.
2. Theater has too many rules and controls they try to impose.
3. I can stream it to my home theater.
4. Hollywood mostly produces remakes, or complete garbage. How many reboots of Batman and Superman do we really need?

TV is almost as bad. You are all doing it to yourselves.

1. Seasons went from 23+ episodes per season down to about 10.
2. Instead of every season, it's every other season, or two, or three.
3. Cable companies won't let us get the exact channels WE want so we just cancel subscription with them.
4. Why should I pay for a streaming service that restricts me or fails to deliver when I can look at content people have created on their own?
5. Writers and actors are always going on strike thinking that helps them, but in a few years nobody will need them or pay them.

In the near future, if I want a new show, I'll produce the entire thing from my bedrrom with a push of the button, and I'll keep 100% of the money. I get from others, or it will be an AI generated film just for me.

EU welcomed in the illegal aliens and made them legal, gave them more rights as they infringe on the rights of citizens. If anybody thinks this is about being able to track or control illegal immigration, then you are a fool.

It's about being able to track and monitor YOU. It's data on you that will be used in all sorts of ways that have nothing to do with immigration.

It has been said in the United States: "Any organization that tries to force the use of a 'REAL ID', should expect to come under a military attack." I don't know who said it, but I will laugh my ass off if I turn on the TV and see a report that it happened.

Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. If you value what little freedom you have left, disrupt and obstruct anyway you can. Blade Runners are the real heroes there.

There is no doubt that humans contribute to the climate more than any other creature on the planet, but here is something I find strange.

Despite hundreds of weather satellites, hundreds of Super Computers, thousands of weather stations, and millions of weather experts, they are unable to successfully predict the weather outside of 10 days. Yet, from some ice core drills and fossil records from hundreds of thousands of years ago, we are supposed to believe they can predict the weather and climate for all the future, and impact our economy and way of life which somehow manages to keep making some people richer and more powerful.

Anybody else see a problem with this?
