Will this be a European Hanukkah?
So why pay for the policy?
Because a hospital stay in the U.S. can cost $1 million and you don't want to have to be responsible for that (or sell all your assets and declare bankruptcy) on the off-chance that happens.
Japanese electronics stores are still full of Blu-Ray recorders, used for time-shifting broadcast TV. It's weird to see. A hard-drive based DVR would be so much easier to use.
Yeah, how much power does this consume when it's "off"?
Around one-third of America's hybrid drivers "transition to a fully electric vehicle when they next switch cars."

>you are not supposed to use them as ads
They actually got rid of that rule a while back after developers pointed out that Apple is constantly using push notifications for ads, so it was quite hypocritical for them to not allow others to do the same.

I don't think there's much they can do about languages that don't use pronouns (like Japanese) or use them as they do in Vietnamese. There is no way for the translation engine to figure out who is talking about whom.
The ads Facebook shows me are almost always something I'm interested in. I don't think I've ever seen an ad on Reddit that interested me in the slightest. They should be able to figure out my interests based on what I read on their site, but for some reason they haven't figured out how to do that in 16 years.
