Im sure Microsoft could support running it under the modified Windows 10 kernel on XB if there was some reason to support legacy *nix software.

Edge on Linux is about driving advertising revenue. I cant see Microsoft ditching what is a more modern hybrid microkernel design for Linux when its a minimal part of their development effort.
