Open Source Hardware : ESA's Leon-1 (Score 1)

An article on EE Times recently mentioned that the European Space Agency has developed an open-source processor core which is SPARC compatible. Since I'm a hardware guy, I took the liberty of downloading their source VHDL, just for the novelty of having it. I haven't looked at it yet, but it is reputed to route to 100MHz in standard cell technology.

There's also an article on FlashCommere, but you'll have to search for it because they seem to change the urls of old stories.

I'm glad to see the Opensource philosophy started improving other areas of IP besides just software.
