At first glance one might think this study was truly significant, but look a bit deeper: It seems to be saying that 20% of the world's farmland might have areas where the heavy machinery passes over some areas (20%?), that are then less productive due to compressed soil (20%?). That sounds like a more realistic estimate of the importance of this research might be 20%*20%*20% = 0.8%. * I learned to think twice about headlines with my own PhD thesis (which used similar trickery).

Soon the RedTape and delays required for that permit will make legal home made guns effectively impossible. Biden should be more careful.... Using government obstacles as a backdoor to bypass a Constitutional Right will erode respect for the laws. I personally believe the Constitution should be respected or amended and then respected. Either is OK with me, but Presidential decrees are not a legitimate way to change our Rights.

Great way to help your community. This is certainly against a zillion Federal Laws and Regulations, and hope you can find 10 zillion dollars to defend yourselves. Otherwise at least you will be an example to warn the rest of us about so much power going up the chain of governments.

The Founding Fathers did a great job for a world that moved at the speed of a horse, but that world is now history. Today 4 companies control the information that 60% of the voters will use to make their decisions. Add to that: The Constitutional Protections of the Bill of Rights were intended to protect individuals and small groups from government overreach, are now being used to permit these giants to use their power without any controls. Ancient wisdom tells us that "Power Corrupts." I'm deeply sorry that my grandchildren will inherit a world in the throes of relearning that lesson.

There are huge advantages and disadvantages stemming from sharing our location data. Clearly if we don't stop it now, most likely we never will. So what should we do? I don't know. Note also: Anyone who thinks "It's not important, I don't do bad stuff" definitely needs to read "Three Felonies a Day" by Harvey A. Silverglate. In it he argues that now that we have permitted employees of federal agents to write rules that are effectively laws, any normal professional working in a career commits an average of 3 felonies a day, without realizing it. Even if Silverglate is off by a factor of 100, we still commit almost one felony per month without realizing it. Having so much of our information then gives Uncle Sam's kids the opportunity to throw any of us into jail at their whim. So effectively you are free only until some government employee decides you should be sent to jail. Ouch! Somehow I think I can see where propositioning the wife of a government employee could lead to 20 years behind bars (for a crime totally unrelated to your little offense).
