Oh man, that was great. Not at all too subtle. I tip my hat to your sir (or maam) and only wish that I had mod points to give you.
So... this is how you connect a Macintosh running OS X 10.4 to a WPA Enterprise network, which isn't broadcasting its SSID:
1. Click on the wireless network icon and choose "Other network".
2. Select WPA Enterprise, enter the SSID, username and password, and click connect.
3. Examine and accept the certificate.
This is how you connect Windows XP to the same wireless network using the same credentials:
