Comment Copenhagen Central Station too (Score 1) 353

In Copenhagen Central Station, Denmark, Europe, the entrance facing a street inhabited by alcoholically challenged and drug users has had Classical music in speakers at the entrance for decades. Apparently classical music has an annoying effect on such people and discouraging them from "hanging around" especially in the rain etc. Seems to work. :)
I can't find any official information on it. It's based on hearsay.

I'm an Apple user. Been using a Mac since 2006.

I am aware that DRM exists on music from iTunes (which is most my music I bought since 2006). It does not bother me. It plays on my computer. It plays on my iPhone. I don't need it to play anywhere else :)

I used to use windows and some cr*p mp3-player with little space and bad interface. But since I now use iPhone and previously iPod Touch for my music, there is no problem with DRM. Apple make the best mp3-players around anyways!

It's better than having a lot of malicious programs out there, using data or sending personal information, with no way of recalling them.
Shouldn't be used unless it's deemed "dangerous".
"I am rich" for instance is a legitimate app, although without much purpose. But let's be honest, a lot of apps in the app store has little or no purpose. A 12$ flash light, anyone?
