As a former "IT guy" for a high school. They would share their credentials and login to each others chromebooks to throw off the people who are monitoring them to make sure they're not viewing inappropriate material (porn) or watching hd movies and tv shows using the schools bandwidth. Even though we had filtering in place they found ways around it. There's a shared google folder floating around with (in 2018) about 800 porn videos. Then the same thing for tv shows and movies.

I guess that counts as work. I had a conference call with people from 6 different countries that lasted over 4 hours to make a decision on what work I needed to do. The end result was what I was already planning on doing, could have been solved with a 3 or 4 e-mails involving 1/4 of the people involved, and was only an hours worth of work on my part.

Their High Speed Broadband was not much better than dialup. Did a speed test at my in laws and it was barely getting 70k and the latency was horrible 500+ ms. They were supposed to have 1.5mb/500k. This isn't isolated their service in the entire area is this bad. This was when it worked which was about half the time. They came into our town and talked to the economic development group and instead of addressing these concerns all they did was push their business fiber. Not going to do residential fiber at all.

If you feel the need to micro manage and spy on your employees to make sure they're being "productive". Then either you hired the wrong people to begin with, or you're a micro managing asshole. Hire better employees that you feel you can trust. If you feel you can't trust anyone. Fuck you. Look in the mirror.
