I agree with you here. They feel proprietary crap is cheaper to use/implement than an OSS alternative. The fact of the matter is that standardization has made use/knowledege of the proprietary solutions more viable because more people are familiar with them. Until the standard is abolished, which grows closer and closer as more companies witness, first hand, the effective ness of OSS, we will be subject to FUD. Actually come to think of it I bet you could graph the relationship between the two(familiarity and FUD) where as x (familiarity) decreases y (FUD)increases exponentally. y = x^? What could we use for the ? the number of companies satisfied with their switch to oss? gah I lost coherency up there somewhere. Enjoy. Cheers, MenTaL
