Re:All These We Cannot Change (Score 1)

I have heard similar things from a friend of mine in a study abroad program in Germany. I understand that a lot of the world is probably a little bit too socialist for my liking. While we may still be more to the right than a lot of the world, we are drifting to the left... slowly but surely because the republicans and various right wing groups are kicking and screaming. I think desiring to stay in power though the republicans have become more moderate in many cases.

Now a lot of people consider this movement to the left progress. I'd say i agree as far as some human rights/social issues, but as far as economy well... If we really are less to the left than the rest of the world do you really wonder why it is we are pretty much the wealthiest nation in the world?

(By the way of course Kerry and Clinton (pick one) seem moderate because thats the image they portray to get popular enough to be big shots. I think they could be more liberal than they seem)
