Rev. Dan Easley was born near Cincinnati, Ohio in 1979. He could spell the word "astronaut" and perform fourth-grade arithmetic at the age of five, and wrote his first piece of music whilst sitting at his grandmother's piano at six.

He is an high-school dropout who has at times earned his keep as a janitor, a pizzeria manager, and an espresso puller. He is also an ordained minister, and can play fourteen and a half different musical instruments (by his count).

Dan has been living in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for about fourteen years, with brief exceptions (North Carolina, Alaska, and a month on the road). He works as director/videographer at a public television station, and as announcer at a public radio station. He also putters about in a linux-based multimedia studio he's been building for the last ten years - his music has been featured on Belgian public radio.
