DirecTV receiver (Score 1)

Look for an old DirecTV HD receiver on eBay, from before they started selling their own hardware. My parents were early adopters of HDTV, and they used to have an RCA (later replaced by a Panasonic) unit that would pull HD signals off of the antenna even though they did not subscribe to any DirecTV service. The picture and signal reception was great, but they lived pretty close to the TV stations, so YMMV.
