Interesting. Despite the almost 'flopping' nature of these folding phones (how many of those you see around you everyday?), Apple will source the OLED screen from Samsung. Curious move. They decide to buy ready made material instead of developing their own. Reduces operational risk, I guess. https://www.thelec.net/news/ar...

Submission + - Brazil Builds Free Payment System; US Wonders If That's Allowed (yahoo.com) 1

Suripat writes: Brazil’s instant payment system, Pix, has quickly changed how people handle money, making transfers free and nearly immediate. It’s become so widely used that cash and even card payments are losing ground. That success is now getting attention abroad, especially in the United States, where officials are looking into whether a government-backed system like Pix gives it an unfair edge over private payment companies. Supporters see it as efficient and accessible, while critics raise questions about competition. As Pix keeps growing, it’s starting to look less like a local innovation and more like something that could challenge established payment systems worldwide.

Hehe. Interesting the view of these BS "facts" of Varginha when coming in from the International Press. Inside Brazil, this remote city inside Minas Gerais is a joke to most of us Brazilians. Stories "without feet and head" as we call it here. But there are similar cities in other countries with the same tourist alien-themed "attractions". There are nuts for every job out there, I guess.

I like the part where, in their feature video, they say they tried to make the propellers sound like “the rustle of leaves in a breeze” or “wind in the trees.” I still can’t find a video of them taking off vigorously anywhere. While hovering, they sound like a regular airplane at medium throttle. Maybe experiencing it live would sound different. The effort should be lauded, I guess.
