Comment Really worrying (Score 1) 54

What worries me most is that AI is increasingly...doing...things...in the world, yet it lacks fundamental human(?) directives such as ethics, moral reasoning, integrity, honesty, fairness, respect for others, non-maleficence, and beneficence. Even more concerning is that AI has no real understanding of its own position, role, or impact while producing these actions. Despite this absence of awareness, it generates answers to its own prompts, fabricates content to justify its outputs, and presents these fabrications with confidence. This behavior demonstrates that AI can replicate the same patterns seen in unethical humans: creating plausible narratives, rationalizing outcomes, and masking uncertainty with authority, without any internal moral compass or sense of responsibility.

eSIM works flawlessly in Brazil. I have never had a problem with it. It also makes it much easier to obtain local numbers in other countries upon arrival. By contrast, the situations described in the article suggest that the U.S. infrastructure is comparatively low quality. Additionally, eSIM is significantly more secure and simplifies blocking a device if it is stolen. The complaints outlined in the article do not resonate with my experience at all.

I seriously don't understand all the complain W11 gets. People are use to complain about everything, of course but I use Windows since 2.0, while using DOS, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux and the heck of it all. Windows 11 has its nags but nothing that seriously impacts "productivity". Microsoft Teams is way worse than Windows in all productivity aspects, if you ask me.

It is weird. I have never felt the need to have an iPad or any tablet, actually. I guess this type of device maybe suits more to people that are on the go all the time. Also, I don't intend to spend money on any Apple products. No need for pricy, underachieving Balenciaga hardware.

Maybe the video is not ethical in the sense of using AI over real people in the making of it, but, generally, there's nothing wrong with it. Let's not bother with details such as "ohhhhh the plate has weird graphisms because it's AI", things are changing and AI will be more and more used by large companies, to the despise of people, including me.
