I remember the first time I "bought" a Chromebook in 2015. I had no idea what a Chromebook was. I just wanted a temporary laptop until I get mine repaired. I turned it on. I thought "Oh - it has Linux installed!" It was fast, but I was shocked, disappointed (almost disgusted) by how limited it is. It had a storage of 16 gigs! Anyway, learning what Chromebook was, I returned it the next day and got a low-end HP laptop instead, which was incredibly slow but at least got the job done until I got a better laptop.

Canada, as a country, is a total scam. BTW - when I lived in Canada I used to pay $110 for my internet bill. At one point, my ISP sent armies of pushy salesmen knocking on every house and every apartment (regardless of whether they're customers or not) to get them to subscribe to their new gigabit plan. I had to visits from the same guy trying to get me to switch. I'm glad I don't live in that shithole of a country any more.

I've went to a fairly large school in Canada (Dalhousie) and the experience was UTTER GARBAGE. Yes it was cheaper but it wasn't worth it, and I can completely see a community college having better quality than that. I've attended classes as a visiting student at two other schools and they weren't much better either. Universities need to cease running like businesses. Period.

My experience with many theoretical physicists is that their work usually suffers from a RIDICULOUS lack of rigor. Many of them seem to be living by the famous "Don't let the facts stop you" saying. They get away with it mostly because their claims are not easily testable. I truly hope this is different. I've ran his paper up and their seems to be quite an effort to maintain rigor, but given its sheer length I'm in no position to judge.
