They've been working on these menues for years which is good and attests to the difficulty in creating and maintaining a cross platform dynamic menu.
However what is extremely bad is that until recently it was almost impossible to find the licensing terms for the use of the HeirMenues. I wonder if they even had any posted licensing terms before 6 months ago.
Every impression given on their site was that these were completely free for anybody to use (my bookmark created over a year ago reads "DHTML Lab Free Dynamic HTML Tutorials, DHTML Scripts, Programming, Tools, Code, and Examples").
Combined with the presentation of the menues as being a public education forum with downloadable code and code generators and then the fact that they crawl the Internet looking for instances of their code so they can send out Pay Us Lots of Money Now Letters (Thousands of dollars!!!) or risk legal action and well...
This is one shady and deceptive bait and switch company. They spend years developing a public following and growing a user base of developers then try to hand people huge bills.
I admire the technical achievements they have accomplished but am disgusted with their business practices.
