They are not the first site to try this. I have come across tons of examples in the past where chrome got you one price and IE got you a different price. I actually keep 5 browsers installed to check this out from time to time. None of the Big brand retailers have done it yet that I have soon but it is only a matter of time.

I really hope they figure out how to make a faster read write speed. It is already almost a given that if you have a RAID 5 setup with 2TB drives there is bound to be an error during rebuild. There was a report on the chance of failure of an array using large drives failing during rebuild. So instead of RAID6 or are we going to have to go to a 3 parity RAID? They claimed RAID 5 should have failed in 09 and that is sata drives but if you put 60TB on a single drive you are asking for trouble IMO. Granted a nice RAID10 would be nice though. http://www.zdnet.com/blog/storage/why-raid-5-stops-working-in-2009/162

This story is old news already. And Motorola was asked on their FB page apologized for the comment and said they are working to help developers while protecting users. I am assuming there will be Dev models or something to that extent that cost a touch more but are open. Or they will just do away with it. Motorola just crawled out of near bankruptcy after all. A lot of people try to root android and brick shit this kind of prevents that. In some ways i like it keeps the script kiddies away from the DX makes sure people know their shit before treading there.

So the first thing I do is say to myself "I gotta see this". Head over to the site to see and sho nuff. All I did was add more traffic to them posting this story helped them out, perhaps that was the plan. Am I the only one that did this and then came to a realization.

Today's Children Are Officially Potty Mouths 449

tetrahedrassface writes "When the Sociolinguistics Symposium met earlier this month swearing scholar Timothy Jay revealed that an increase in child swearing is directly related to an increase in adult swearing. It seems that vulgarity is increasing as pop culture continues to popularize vulgarities. The blame lies with media, public figures, politicians, but mostly ourselves. From the article: 'Children as young as two are now dropping f-bombs, with researchers reporting that more kids are using profanity — and at earlier ages — than has been recorded in at least three decades.'"

Comment But will it run Crysis (Score 1) 370

This sounds great for what I might be able to do someday on my linux box. But will it run crysis. And even taking that seriously, when will it run it. They are writing this from the ground up it sounds like. DX12 will be out before this ready to have just D3D11. The catchup game is never going to be fast enough. Until developers use something that can run on both systems side by side this is going to be a moot point.

Cross-Platform Mobile Gaming Gaining Traction 43

andylim writes "Several mobile gaming companies are developing cross-platform multiplayer games allowing Android and iPhone users, for example, to play games against each other. Last month touchArcade reported on a cross-platform baseball game developed by Com2Us called Homerun Battle 3D. Unlike turn-based multiplayer mobile games, Homerun Battle 3D allows players to compete against each other instantly, but you don't see the other player — instead you only get to see your competitor's score being updated. Pushing cross-platform multiplayer games even further, a company called Bulky Pix has created a table-football-style game that displays the action as it happens — both players see the ball moving around. This hopefully suggests that cross-platform, multiplayer mobile shooters aren't far behind."
