Hell because it fails to link because it's not compiled for it?
I won't call this hell.
Hell, like the DLL problems on Windows that where
cited, is when it can be linked but crashes on
execution due to incompabilities.
What we have since the ELF format is security against these crashes.
The problem that Linux Distributions are so different is another. But that's not glibc's fault.
