My old Android phone charger connector is making charging a real hit-or-miss affair, so after nearly four years was looking for a new, small stock Android phone. The Zenfone 10 seemed to fit most of my criteria: small, audio jack and fairly stock Android (it seems that during the initial bootup the user is offered a choice of stock Android or Asus apps, wanted to investigate this a bit further). Only downside seemed to be that Asus was offering limited support duration, but then possibly lineageOS offers a way out. I was just waiting for the prices for the top of the range model to drop 10% before pushing the button. This announcement does make me wonder about the support that Asus would provide in the warranty period though.

I never said what PO did was in order, but PiS has taken the abuse to new levels. The fact that you don't have responses to the points I have raised from the get-go about judiciary (sanctions imposed by the EU), rankings of RSF etc. is not my problem. No moving of the goal posts here. On the contrary you were asking for more and more examples, which are still pending in court as PiS has had less time to abuse the system.
You fixated on one example of egregious use of a law that to this day stands and is still being used by the authorities for cases that are still in the courts.
So as not to further muddle your brain, I will not go into the abuse by the Catholic church of minors that is not being condemned by PiS.

You sited one example and I have sited a number. Go look up the rock musician that has a court case pending for posting a photo of a boot on an image of an alleged virgin that miraculously gave birth (some sucker that Joseph). Yes, pending... deal with it. Things take time. Your example is soooo old and boring.
Meanwhile PiS has been using spyware to eavesdrop on members of the opposition, is forcibly retiring judges ( how is that for a penalty?), using police goons to intimidate journalists, utilizing state companies to buy up media outlets and threatening independent media with higher taxes to shut down any debate.
Talk about a one trick pony with your example. An example which you are happy to defend using literal piles of shit, but when someone posts a critique of Duda not recognizing the US elections you are offended that this is not sufficiently high brow.
Go nurse your hurt ego like the Christian snowflakes getting offended by a bit of colour on a traditional image of Mary, lol.

Different countries have different levels of free speech and America is probably the most tolerant where you can insult the head of government. Nice, whataboutism and branding people leftist without knowing the first thing about them. I will just leave this here: https://www.theguardian.com/wo... The PiS government would like to wipe out all memory of events such as these: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... The narrative has to be that Poland suffered (and there is no denying they did suffer) during WW2 and that all Poles were heroic anti-fascists. The same narrative is then applied to the situation about Brussels subjugating Poland, trying to awaken feelings of being aggrieved again.

Nice whataboutism there. Under the PiS government laws have been enacted to restrict free speech (we can talk about the dismantling of the independent judiciary too, if you want). Currently you risk jail time, if you point out that some Poles were collaborating with the German occupiers. Land of free speech indeed. The church has got a strangle hold on the government here and want to wind back the clock to a time when people unquestioningly bowed their heads to the religious authorities. Ironically what the government accuses Brussels of, is exactly want the PiS'ers want to do: they want to create a uniform model of society (white, heterosexual and Catholic, of course) centrally controlled (from Warsaw).

I am in Szczecin and agree with your post that the Polish people have risen to the challenge admirably. Where I have to take issue with you is your inferred discrimination of the PiS government by the EU. The EU has been trying to reverse the erosion of democracy in Poland for over 5 years and have been far too patient. The PiS government has ignored multiple letters concerning the judicial system and has been steadily chipping away at the independent media (sound familiar from a vast country further East?) The invasion of Ukraine has temporarily removed the focus of the EU and they may well pay out the Corona and normal subsidies they have been holding back, but this will only delay the inevitable clash. Yes, the government was democratically elected but so was Erdogan and Orban. That does not give them the right to abuse the basic tenets of democracy in the pursuit of creating a Catholic, hetrosexual, white society that is Kaczinski’s wet dream. At the risk of going Godwin, Hitler was also democratically elected and that did not end well for anyone.

I have a friend who was prescribed Prozac five years ago and was told by the psychiatrist that he may experience temporary loss of libido. My friend took the medication for a couple of months and decided that the feeling of apathy that the drug produces was worse than his depression and stopped the course. After a few weeks my friends libido had not returned to normal and my friend put this down to the depression. This condition persisted and my friend started reading on the internet that other people had experienced similar problems. My friend went through an agonising period deciding whether to go to the press with this information, providing his full name. The hurdle faced by anyone in this position is that people tend not to take users of anti-depressants seriously. It is easy to put someone who has taken mind altering drugs down as a nutter. The psychiatrist denied any knowledge of similar cases and it looks as if this affects a small percentage of users. My friend has improved slightly. This may be due to ageing, but I would urge anyone who does not really need to take selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors to stay away.
