Journal Journal: Clive Barker's Jericho
If your into FPS I would definitley reccomend 'Clive Barker's Jericho'. It's almost like a sequel to the hellraiser films-but in a video game. Although, its unlike any sequel to his films, more like an original in the making...gee I hope I'm not giving anything away =O/
I bought the game that comes with an additional dvd - the making of Jericho which was the same price as just the game alone. It can be compared to Gears of War because you work with a team, and the graphics are similar but Jericho is a little different. It allows you to swap between members of your team, and each member has their own special characteristics. For example one team member has an element of fire-is able to produce fire shield and weild a fire breathing weapon. Another team member has the ability to perferm a certain attack and ect...each character having their own unique ability. But no matter what if your team dies - you die- YOU DIE!!!
Anyway, the only downside is that you can't play multiplayer/co-op/or anything like that. I'm a big xbox 360 live player so I tend to go for games that I can play with a team online. Thats pretty much the only downside or fault, but given the circumstances for the quality of the game that pretty much doesn't matter.
Another thing, the characters (especially the girls) have pretty foul mouths. They're always saying f-u or cursing at the monsters. Just something to keep a look out for if your thinking about getting this game for your kids...
I don't want to seem like a wuss either, but I played on easy level and it's a tricky game. You have to get used to your team members abilites and use them to your advantage or you might end up getting stuck in a few areas. I still have yet to complete the game but I did get quite far and had to write about it already.
